WELCOME RISING STARS!
An academic career workshop for women
Rising Stars is a career-building workshop for women electrical and computer engineers and computer scientists interested in careers in academia. This year’s workshop will be held at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Rising Stars brings together over 60 top female graduates in the fields of electrical and computer engineering and computer science for two days of scientific interactions and career-oriented discussions.
The conference will include poster session as well as presentations on aspects of life in academia—from finding a faculty position to how to succeed as a junior faculty member. Participants will have the opportunity to present their ongoing research, interact with faculty members from top institutions, and receive advice for advancing their careers.
